Wait No Longer, Linn App Gets Faster, Stronger
From one of the leaders in streaming hardware today, Scotland's Linn has released a new control app replacing its dated Kazoo platform for a ground-up rebuild, simply dubbed 'Linn'.
The new and improved app replaces Kazoo for iOS users and according to the company, “offers a host of new features designed to enhance the user experience.”
Nigel Ng, General Manager for Linn's Australian distributor, Advance Audio, told StereoNET:
I've been beta testing the new app for about eight months now, and I've been very impressed with the improvements and overall user experience. The new iOS app is cleaner and more intuitive, and you can now access your music from any source from one screen. With the success of the Linn Selekt products, the new app will take the music experience to the next level.
New features include Quick Access which is said to allow Browse, Search, Queue, Room selection and System setting tabs, which are always on screen, making it quick and easy to access anything you need at all times. You can also use Global Search to quickly find the music you're looking for across all of streaming services and stored music content at the same time.
Playlists are also now stored on the cloud, so you can access them from anywhere and play them on any Linn DSM player, simply by logging into your Linn Account.
Finally, you have quick access to user-facing configuration options, such as the ability to rename rooms and sources, add sources plus the ability to update to the latest software for selected products.
You can access the Linn app for iOS here. There's no date set for the Android version of the Linn app at the time of writing.
