If you are proficient with sharp instruments, try DIY

Buy a whole lot of LP's from overseas and reuse.Good for both your collection and you feel virtuous by recycling!

In the the US they have specialised record mailer boxes like these.
The better DIY ones locally usually start life as a wine box

I save the better ones for reuse, like Kevin, but somehow the records never seem go out the door again

I just dumped around 50lp mailers in the recycle bin. I keep holding onto them in the hope that one day I'll find a use, but since , like Owen, I dont seem to resell any of my purchases it seems a bit pointless. Shame it'd be too expensive to ship them round the country to people who would use them.

My local Post Shop owner, Tara, came up with a great idea.... pizza delivery boxes! I looked in next door at the Italian restaurant & sure enough, a large size pizza box looks about perfect. I haven't actually measured one but thickness at least looks ideal for some protective material + the vinyl.

Yes, I've used pizza boxes for transporting. New ones I bought at Moore Wilsons in Wellington.

    Dunnog,

I have a few various lp mailers - ex amazon UK and us and others, some resembling pizza boxes, some flat packs.

Send me a pm if interested.

Payment can vary but invariably involves sav blanc!

Tip: If you use used ones, put VTF up +0.25 grams to cut through the cheese and pepperoni
