    So far today

Various Artists - Time To Go - Southern Psychedelic 1981-99
Richmond Fontaine - The High Country - took a while to get into this one but now I am really loving it.
Mike Wexter - Dispossession - interesting folk/psych album
Jim White - Where It Hits You
Feist - Metals - if I had heard this in 2011 it would have made my top 10 list for the year!
The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side. Hunter S. Thompson

I am still undecided on the new Jim White album. Looking at your playlist I may have to check out Phantom Buffalo and Andrew Bird.

Still love to have a sensitively done vinyl reissue of this 60s classic and going by todays listening the mono edition would be the way to go.
Problem as to a good vinyl copy solved as I managed to pick up a nice copy in Dunedin yesterday. The cover is in good shape with all the hinges intact and after a good clean the vinyl plays really well with a very quiet background. Going by the matrix this is an original 1968 NZ copy and so much better than the reissue mentioned above.
Really happy to have this as my original was literally played to death in the late 60s.

    My week:
    Postal Service:Give up
Ultravox - Return to Eden - Live CD / DVD -If you loved these guys like I did in the 80's - you'll love this. This is a reunion concert after a 25 year hiatus. I am biased because I am a fan but I think this is a very good live album.
Depeche Mode- Violator - one of the best synth pop albums ever. Remastered CD. Superb.
Dave Gahan - Paper Monsters - DM's front man's solo album - Very nice and a great recording.
    Alphaville - Afternoons in Utopia
Boxcar - Vertigo - a great album by a defunct Aussie synth-pop new wave outfit. Spoons of Depeche Mode and New Order all mixed into a blender.
Koo de tah - Koo de Tah - Forgotten album with Kiwi songstress, Tina Cross on vocals. 80's synth pop. From what I know this is a very rare CD. Irrespective of its value, I have loved this album since I was a teenager.
