shiva

jaycar carbon fibre (93db but car woofer)

why is there no other subs???

i mite be ordering a jbl2226h its 97db 40hz ,,il see how the guy in Oz goes... i may have to resort to a shiva.

 but atleast then,its cheap 300$ +380$ amp...not bad

the jbl is 500$ by itself (2nd hand) + shipping :P

but my priority is high eff, then everything else.. i dont particurly need 20hz.. only 32hz or so.

i like 15s
:P save on some excursion :d

If so, grab Unibox and model it up and see if it does what you want. If you post them here I'll take a look if you like.

The good thing about the less efficient subs is that they model well in a large number of alignments. Power is cheap too (Although you may struggle to save your 10% if you're feeding a sub 1kW !!)

ive modeled it

1st choice

25hz Fb 175litres

2nd choice

37hz Fb, 135litres.

:)

+ a nice big port for low compresion(shelf port) with rounded edges..butt joints.

a little bracing.(im stil sorting that)

.25mm MDF if we have it!,some sort of woodglue, and some silicon sealer'(not sure exactly what sorts yet)

For woodglue - I use the poly-aliphatic variety (yellow) - don't know the technical description - but forms a stronger bond (so I'm lead to believe) than standard white PVA.

One brand is "Selleys Aquadhere"

As for silicone sealant - anything should do.
