Floyd - WYWH Limited SACD 5.1 Only, arrived today

The limited SACD with the 5.1 mix arrived this morning from Amazon USA.
Couldn't see myself forking out for the completed discovery set etc to get the quad mix so punted for the SACD only. Says its made in the EU.
It's a hybrid, standard stereo mix and the high resolution 5.1 mix.
I have the DVD-A from a torrent burnt to disc from sometime back - michael how did you find it? So I can compare the unofficial mix with this commercial release.
Will give it a spin on the pioneer sometime to day.

must get it soon..... Acoustic sounds has it for $35. Cheeper than Amazon. Never had a mint copy on vinyl so got the remaster from JB and am very impressed.

I found the Guthrie mix appealing and was not offended by the mix. The layers of the music were now more revealed and the experience very rewarding. What my hearing could not differentiate before on other mixes was now clearer. With the added channels the rears get more work and if there was any ping pong stereo it was not obvious, in fact more subtle and positioned to me correctly. Bass not as extended as say DVD-A but solid and had presence.
Wish you were here starts with the radio in the rear right on its own and then the piece slowly adds in the front and then completely front and then adds in the rear left. The sounds of the machine in "Welcome to the machine" make all channels work - the mix is not tiring - more a refreshing and revitalised experience. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended. They say the SACD is very limited edition and I see Amazon price has increased.
Its digi pack format, six post cards, man swimming in sand, swimmer hand stand in water, red fabric blowing in the trees, Two hands shaking, Man in suit in sand, two men shaking hands with one man on fire. Book incorporated with lyrics as part of the digi pack, SACD.
Yup well worth the purchase.
