I have recently acquired a pair of B&W 602 s and subsequently paired them with Marantz SR5006 (replaced Onkyo TX 606) - works for me :)
However - my other surround speakers are old US Audio things (sold years ago by Harveys in Aust).
I feel like i should replace the left centre and right speakers because in my head I know they just aren't as good as the B&Ws. So:
1. Should I replace them? - or just be happy with the fact that it's still better than before...
2. If I do replace them, what with?

Any arguments I can use to convince the keeper of the purse will be gratefully received!

Thanks in advance

Keep an eye on TM for a 600 series center ( not a 68 series center ) and forget about the rears unless you spy a pair of 601's maybe. the 600 series speakers were not a bad speaker - I looked closely at them many moons ago but eventually opted for an alternative.

What about getting a pair of Series 1 604's in the front and put the 602's to the rear I know just the person to see - me! PM if interested.

Nice try Epoximan! That does sound like a great plan and if was up to me...the 602s were free (thanks Dad!!) but I've then gone out and spent money on a Receiver and now talking about new speakers so I'm really pushing it with 'er-indoors' - if you know what I mean. She reckons they're they're getting pretty expensive for 'free'.

I noticed a CC6 on TM for $150 - is that a reasonable deal and do you reckon that they would go alright with the 602s?
