Glass shelved racks usually don't sound very good.

The S to S's on the other hand are great products.

I've eschewed glass shelved racks based on the belief they didn't sound good.

However Naim's very expensive Fraim racks are glass topped. But there are a lot of components within the rack such as ball-n-nut type suspension. I guess it's all in the implementation...

It is the implementation.

At that price $60 buy now it is worth a try. One piece of glass is about that price not toughened. As long as the structure is rigid. Don't worry about spiking rack to floor. I prefer rack floating on carpet rather than spiked to wooden floor which also has the speakers spiked to it.
Glass is reflective so you could place a cloth or similar material on glass under component to reduce this.

I prefer metal/glass/granite/mass to wood but it can brighten the sound.

I note "got tinnitus" you have the Finite-Pagode which I rate about the best in the world truly designed from the ground up which is much more than most Hi-Fi racks which are a fashion statement with little regard to sound.

I have a glass rack (with steel legs, very heavy), similar to the one on TM and it sounds better than when my gear was on a solid Rimu cabinet. I now have granite on the shelves under all my components which is even better. If you get the glass, I'd definitely recommend a granite slab at least under a turntable if you have one.
For $60 it's well worth a shot!

I have just replaced my glass rack with a Soul to Sole. The difference is not insignificant and is for the better.

Hi guys, thanks for advise. Most appreciated. Ended up buying the rack for $60 and find the changes to my system (and Sky picture quality etc) astounding. And it looks good and matches my Mission stands, so all in all wrapt!

I need a wide rack to fit all my gear into, and it looks like I'll have to get one customs made :( The one I have is custom made, but still not big enough. Hard to find a decent rack at a good price. You did very well at $60
