Has Amazon UK's free shipping to NZ become permanent ?

The banner has gone from the front page but NZ is still listed as a qualifying country and the option is still available on checkout.

Fingers-crossed. As each free shipping deadline approached, I used to put in a big order thinking it was my last chance. Wised up after the third extension..

I'm loving the free postage but sometimes the packing leaves a lot to be desired. Recently had to send back four LP's because they were packed with heavy books (that was never going to work!) and often books are scuffed and dog-eared through rattling in too big a box.

If my next shipment is damaged then I'm ready to give up on Amazon - shame really.

Still showing near the top of the home page.

Have free shipping if selected orders are 25 pound - seems to be continuing Michael.
Bet is will continue with the Greece panic.

Bugger. With the VAT off and free shipping it made for an attractive proposition.

Ordered two things the other day. One about 7 pounds and the other about 20. Got the free shipping then realized I had ordered the 20 pound item previously and immediately canceled that one item. The 7 pound item carried on being accepted for free shipping even though that order was well under 25 pounds.
Little loophole there!

Well that little loophole is now well and truly closed!

I agree, its a real bummer - you can get more information if you click through the question "why I don't qualify for supersaver delivery" or suchlike. It tells you that free delivery to Aus/NZ was a "trial". Perhaps they had to end the trial because they didn't get enough support and/or the percentage of returns was too high...

Looking at my credit card bill I'd say the support was pretty high

I guess they pulled in a few new customers and are hoping that they will return after the deal is over...

A shame - but my credit card can take a break for a while...:)
