Most games at home but the big ones at the pub. At the stadium its too far for another beer and a pee:)

One of the reasons i got a projectors was for the sport ie Warriors and ABs. Friday night will be on one of the big screens at the bottom of town after the fireworks with the other 50000  people or so. From then on ABs etc on the projector(Warriors on Sat evening)and lesser games on the Plasma. Pretty exciting world cup this one....ABs and Aus in the finals. :D

My first choice is at the stadium because nothing beats the atmosphere of live sport. I've also spent far too much money on tickets so will be attending a number of games in the next 6 weeks. Option 2 is either at home with friends or at said friends' houses on the plasma. More comfortable seats and closer to the fridge and toilet. :) Watching rugby or any sport at the pub can also be great fun depending on where you are relative to the screen or TV.

RWC is a side project of REM's Michael Stipe. More experimental than the better known group, RWC produces sound collages built up from RNZ archival recordings of Keith Quinn screaming 'Try!' RWC's latest release is an EP from the label Extra Time entitled '$50 Million Down the Tubes'. The Tubes' founder member Fee Waybill guests on a remake of 'White Punks on Dope', a song which profiles the use of recreational drugs by sports journalists. A limited deluxe edition on pink vinyl also includes a remix of 'Losing My Religion' featuring Hosea Gear.

You do realise that with these words you risk bringing a fatwah upon yourself?

And a new double CD called "Rucks, Tries & Choruses" with songs such as 'Big Bad Don feat The Fernleafs', 'Fantastic Fergie feat. Winston Mccarthy', 'I'll Never Be An All Black feat Lomu', 'The All Black Hall Of Fame feat Garner Wayne & His Saddle Pals', 'Pine Tree feat Des Gay & The Foolish Fags', 'Game Of Our Lives feat John Rowles' ....any many more. Just the thing for half time, or those 'time outs' where they have a cuppa tea and a lie down.

It's just not the same if you don't have to get up at 2.30am, pop the kettle on and nestle in to watch the grainy picture on a Pye Vidmatic, Philips K9 or similar. Our TV was white and stood on a pedestal, how cool was that?
Back when All Blacks didn't get paid to play rugby, they willingly sacrificed their ears for the good of the game.
Still, Spanish football is back live on Sunday mornings so all is not lost over the coming weeks... :D

Might have to change this number in light of Hosea's signing with the Highlanders under the mighty Jamie "Slipper" Joseph - can't think of the right number yet...
RWC is compulsory viewing here.

We got the Tongan supporters cruising the neighborhood with their pimped out rides. I forgot how big the native speakers get.
As long as they watch the game at someone else's place.

To be honest I was extremely ambivalent about the whole thing but I watched Romania v Scotland today and it was a really entertaining match - despite myself I got into it.
Great to see the punters coming out for the smaller Rugby nations - fill up those stadiums and support them :)

Bastion Pt for us with the kids. Fireworks were awesome - specially the ones off the Skytower.
Glad I didn't go into town

Watched last night's game (even though I'm a RWC-free zone) for the picture and sound.
HD video was good, TVNZ finally switched on their 5.1 audio stream* but it was a lukewarm affair at best, TV3's delayed replay had better picture and sound with a much more palpable sense of surround...
*over on TV2 Supernatural was also in surround sound but with very little surround activity.
