Over enthused family support to headphone purchase

I had a recent laugh about committing funds to purchasing a set of AKG K702 headphones and NuForce HDP as headphone amp. Normally I meet with some resistance committing funds to my ongoing hifi adventure, but on this occasion I received unanimous support to proceed to purchase.

Hope I have not made a mistake!

That is very funny. You'll be right, but if you want something that offers a warmer listen then you might want to try something other than the k702s.

You might think you made a mistake as they might not sound that good for a month or so since k701/2 have a notoriously long run-in period.

I am getting rather used to the need for run in of my new purchases. The Naim Ovators I purchased a couple of months back were a bit screamy to start with, but have now opened up with increased bass, so know what you mean, thanks.

ha haa! I hear you! - funny how I received the same nod of approval when I got my GS1000i's ... if I remember rightly, "if it stops me having to listen to that noise whilst you have headphones on then I don't care how much it costs!"....sweet! :P
